*Because of using USD as card currency it is possible that you can have small currency exchange differences.
Q: Why are some of the fees denominated in US Dollars and others in Euros?
A: This is because fees that are paid to Capital Conservator are in US Dollars and fees that are debited directly from the card account by our banking partner are calculated in Euros.
Q: How much is the card loading fee?
A: There is NO card loading fee because this is a true debit card. You pay only pay the usual CCS&L account fees.
Q: Why is there both an annual card fee and a monthly account fee?
A: In order to make this card a true debit card with no purchase limits we needed to have a separate segregated subaccount for each cardholder. The cost for this is €6.00 per month. CCS&L does NOT mark up this fee at all. It is charged directly by our banking partner.
Q: When I calculate the charges to my account, why do I get a different amount than the fees noted above?
A: This is due to the fact that the card is denominated in US Dollars but the bank fees are charged in Euros. As such there may be small currency exchange differences depending upon the exchange rate on the day the charges were made.
